One of my projects at the agency was creating signage for the "Domaine du Val de Sorne," a golf estate. This project involved designing and producing 22 signs to be installed around and inside the estate. My work on this project required a meticulous approach to meet the client's specific needs while adhering to the requirements related to signage.
The first step in this project was to define a coherent and adaptable editorial line for all the signs. This line needed to reflect the identity and ambiance of the estate while remaining harmonious and easily recognizable to visitors.
Several specific constraints had to be considered during the creation of the signage. First, the signs had to be designed to convey information quickly and effectively. This meant that the texts needed to be concise and clear, with simple pictograms or icons, if necessary, to guide visitors intuitively.
Furthermore, the visibility of the signs was paramount. They needed to be easy to read and spot, even from a distance, to ensure smooth and pleasant navigation throughout the estate, while also making the outdoor signs impactful and legible. I considered factors such as the size and legibility of the characters, color contrast, and so on.
Working on this project allowed me to demonstrate my ability to balance aesthetics, functionality, and effective communication. This experience was a valuable exercise in designing creative and practical solutions to meet clients' needs in a real-world context.
In addition to the signage, I designed advertising posters, which were also adapted into animated digital versions, and a promotional flyer for the "Domaine du Val de Sorne." These visual communication materials aimed to promote the estate's services and events, particularly its brasserie.
